Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah, and the supervision of the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jalil Hassan Bashat Al-Saadi, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, held a workshop titled “Exam Anxiety and Its Impact on Mental Health”. The workshop was delivered by faculty member in the Private Law, Assist. Prof. Dr. Haifa Mazhar Falah, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in the college’s model courtroom.

The workshop aimed to teach students how to study more effectively, enhance their academic skills, and provide alternative resources to help with learning techniques and exam preparation strategies.

The workshop covered several key topics, including:

  1. The Concept of Exam Anxiety
  2. Symptoms of Exam Anxiety
  3. How to Manage and Overcome Exam Anxiety

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including:

  1. Conducting studies to explore the underlying reasons for the high levels of exam anxiety and low achievement motivation among students.
  2. Creating guidance programs and organizing workshops to support motivation and reduce exam anxiety.
  3. Activating motivation by enhancing the role of academic psychological counseling services in universities.
