Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah, and the supervision of the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jalil Hassan Bashat Al-Saadi, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “Student Absences According to Current Regulations, Especially for First-Year Students” as part of the Continuing Education Unit’s activities for 2025. The workshop was presented by Lecturer Sahar Fouad Majid and Assist. lect. Tabarak Mahmoud Shakir on Thursday, January 2, 2024, at the College of Law building.

The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness among students about the Examination Regulations No. 134 of 2000, particularly Article 9.

The workshop covered several key topics, including informing students about the permissible absence limits with a valid excuse, as well as the consequences for each type of absence (warning, first warning, final warning, and failure).

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which were:

  • Posting the Examination Regulations No. 134 of 2000 on the bulletin boards of the study departments and informing students about them.
