Under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority / Department of Quality Assurance and Government Accreditation, and within the framework of the work of the National Council for the Accreditation of Law College Programs, the College of Law at the University of Baghdad organized a central workshop on Monday, December 9, 2024, in the college’s conference hall. The workshop aimed to introduce the requirements for program accreditation for law colleges and departments in Iraqi universities, titled (Procedures and Requirements for Applying for Program Accreditation for Law Colleges).
The session was chaired by the head of the Public Law (Dr. Taghreed Mohammed Qadouri) and was presented by both (Dr. Ban Salah Abdul Qader), head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the college, and (Dr. Wisam Mohammed Khalifa), head of the Law Department at Al-Imam Al-Azam College. The session was attended by the heads of departments from public and private colleges, officials from quality assurance and performance evaluation divisions and units within the geographical area, as well as several college members, staff, and students.
Several topics were discussed, the most important of which were:
1- The formal and substantive procedures for applying for program accreditation.
2- The requirements that colleges must provide and adhere to in order to obtain program accreditation.
3- The conditions that must be met and the standards required for program accreditation.
