After his outstanding participation, the dean of the college receives the recognition and honor of the Arab League award for law and judiciary for his excellence within the Arab jury.

The Dean of the college of law at the University of Baghdad, Dr. Ali Hadi al – Hilali, received a certificate of appreciation and a shield of honor, for his participation and excellence in the activities of the Arab League award for law and judiciary, at the thirty-ninth session of the Council of Arab ministers of Justice, which was held in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott in the period (27-31/ October 2024).

The ceremony of honoring the winners of the Arab League prize for law and judiciary witnessed a distinguished Iraqi presence, the college of law at the University of Baghdad was represented by the dean, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Attiya, with the participation of Professor Dr. Ali Fawzi Ibrahim, one of the most prominent flags of the Iraqi delegation, which participated with a group of delegations and prominent Arab judicial and legal figures from Iraq, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Syria, and others.

Iraq won the second place in the public law category for a dissertation entitled “legal security in the observance of Public Authority is a comparative study”, which was presented by the researcher (Osama Taha Hussein) from the University of Baghdad Collage of law.

The Arab League law and judiciary award seeks to encourage researchers in the Arab world to monitor their legal practices and experiences in order to access the frameworks and milestones of Arab law and judiciary, in addition to encouraging field and applied comparative studies in Arab law and judiciary that deal with real problems of law and judiciary.

Other objectives of the award include directing studies towards serving the needs in the field of law and the judiciary, strengthening and dedicating legal and Judicial Studies and increasing awareness of them institutionally and publicly, and publishing legal and Judicial Studies in order to disseminate them and adopt their results and recommendations.
