The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed the doctoral dissertation in the public law of the student (Sinan Fadel Abdul-Jabbar), tagged with(the impact of international legal transformations on the sources of the constitutional judge), on Monday, 22/10/2024 on the conference hall at the college.
The dissertation aimed to identify how to distinguish between the traditional sources on which the constitutional judge is based and the sources that the constitutional judge’s jurisprudence sorts and reveals, and the impact of the sources of the constitutional judge on international legal transformations becomes a matter of time, since some of these sources lie within the legal system of the state.
The dissertation included three chapters, the first of which dealt with the nature of international legal transformations, the second chapter dealt with the sources of the constitutional judge, and the third chapter dealt with the development of the sources of the constitutional judge by the impact of international legal transformations.
The dissertation came up with several recommendations, the most important of which is that it is necessary to absorb these transformations in the internal legal system of states, especially in the internal legal system of the Republic of Iraq, especially the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq for a year 2005 is one of the constitutions that employs a large set of texts on rights and freedoms and guarantees of their protection, the constitutional judiciary in light of international legal transformations has huge tasks on its shoulders because the expansion and diversity of sources of the constitutional judge is accompanied by a huge responsibility because dealing with these sources requires a high level of professionalism, professionalism and impartiality.
