The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the criminal law of the student (Marwa Jassim Abboud), marked with (criminalization of unprofessional agreement between medical professionals), on Monday, corresponding to 16/9/2024 on the model courtroom at the college.
The thesis aimed to reveal the legal adaptation of the fact of non-professional agreements by the doctor and those associated with him, indicate the type of criminal liability and according to any criminal provision, this type of practice can be described and to secure the maximum amount of protection for the patient in the face of attacks to which he is exposed by the doctor and those associated with him .
The thesis included three chapters, the first of which dealt with the conceptual framework, the second chapter dealt with the concept of criminal non-professional Agreement, and the third chapter dealt with medical criminal liability and crimes arising from the non-professional agreement.
The thesis came out with several recommendations, the most important of which is to emphasize following the ethics of medical professions by monitoring all health departments throughout the country and conducting surprise inspection campaigns, preventing dealing with promoters who are not owners of this profession and limiting the number of these promoters and imposing sanctions on doctors who deal with these delegates, stressing in giving statements regarding the opening of medical clinics, pharmacies, cosmetic centers or community hospitals because the matter is starting to get out of control.
