The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the public law of the student (Rana Salah Abbas), tagged with (electronic automation of the legislative process in Iraq _ comparative study), on Thursday, 11/7/2024 on the model courtroom at the college.

The thesis aims to focus on modern concepts and the tremendous development in information technology as a necessary requirement to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of legislative work, as automation is one of the most prominent electronic government media in institutions in general.

The first chapter dealt with the concept of electronic automation of the legislative process, the second chapter dealt with the impact of electronic automation on the effectiveness of government bills, and the third chapter dealt with the impact of electronic automation on the effectiveness of the parliamentary legislative initiative.

The thesis came out with several recommendations, the most important of which is to call on the legislative institution to adopt electronic automation in an integrated manner and to introduce it in all stages of the legislative process, to spread information awareness among members of the House of Representatives as well as employees in the departments affiliated to the legislative institution through the adoption of the electronic training method.
