The college of law at the University of Baghdad participated in the publication of the first report of the trial follow-up program for major corruption cases, the anti-corruption initiatives and strengthening commercial arbitration project of the United Nations Development Program.
This came during the presence of Dr.Taghreed Mohammed Kaddouri, the head of the Public Law, tweeted the events held in Baghdad on Sunday 2/6/2024, which was attended by the chief prosecutor, the head of the judicial supervision commission, a number of judges and members of the public prosecution. Representatives of the United Nations Development Programme in Iraq and the representative of the European Union.
The report included monitoring and follow-up of major corruption cases pending by the central anti-corruption criminal court and reviewing the sentences issued by it. The report provided comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analyses and accompanied them with recommendations aimed at meeting the special needs of all parties and components of the project, including legal reforms, training and capacity-building, as well as cooperation with civil society and the international community.
