The college of law at the University of Baghdad held the First Student Conference of the academic year 2023/2024 under the title (College Day for Sustainable Development Goals) on Tuesday, 23/4/2024 on the conference hall at the college.
The students were supervised by the scientific and preparatory committee consisting of assistant professor Dr. Mustafa Salem Abdul, Asst.lect. Hussein Adnan Hadi,Asst.llect. Azel Abdullah Hammoud and Asst.lect. jihad Abbas Ali.
The fourth stage students and post-graduate students participated in their graduation research, the topics of which had an impact on the Sustainable Development Goals by showing the extent of the relationship of Iraqi laws with the goals of the United Nations (17), which came to sustainable development and the rational use of Natural Resources.
These goals were focused according to three axes, the first axis dealt with the social dimension, the second axis dealt with the economic dimension, and the third axis dealt with the preservation and development of the environment.
This activity is the first work of more than twenty students supervised by a number of professors, and their research efforts focused on the development of legislative and judicial work and government programs to achieve the United Nations goals in sustainable development.
