Achievements
The team of the college of law at the University of Baghdad won the first place in the tenth Arab Moot Court Competition, held in Kuwait in the period (4-6 March 2024); after pleading before the International Court of justice in a virtual international case simulating the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Nomination of an international arbitrator
(Dr. Mustafa Salem Abdul), a lecturer in the college of law was selected as an arbitrator in the Arab Moot Court Competition in its tenth edition, which was held in the Kuwaiti International Law College in the state of Kuwait during the period from 4 to 6 March 2024.
Visits
Within the framework of scientific cooperation between Iraqi universities, the college of law at Samarra University visited the college of law at Baghdad University on Sunday 10/3/2024, the visit start with the fourth-stage students at the college of law under the supervision of the lecturer (asst.lect. Duraid Waleed) making a virtual court simulates the reality of criminal courts by re-depicting a real case in one of the courts, which resulted in an important judicial ruling that focuses on the conscious application of the law without applying the mechanism of the law and inertia on the words of the text because this will lead in a phenomenon to formal justice and inwardly to unjust judgments.
Participations
_ The college of Law / University of Baghdad participated in the exhibition of scientific products of Iraqi universities, which was held at the University of Baghdad / College of physical education, in the presence of the minister of higher education and scientific research (De. Naim al-Aboudi), the administrator (Dr. Adnan al-Jumaili), the president of the University of Baghdad professor Dr. (Baha Ibrahim Insaf) and a number of scientific and academic figures, with the participation of the University formations and all his deputy.
_ The Women Empowerment unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad participated in a celebration on the occasion of International Women’s day under the title (University women are creative energy and sustainable products).
The Honors
The dean of the college (Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Attieh) honored the college of law team, which won the first place in the tenth Arab Moot Court Competition, in the state of Kuwait after pleading before the International Court of justice in a hypothetical international case simulating the situation in Gaza.

Under the auspices of the dean of the college, Professor Dr. (Ali Hadi Atiyah), the college of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a campaign for afforestation and plant cultivation on the occasion of the national day of afforestation on 12/3/2024.

_ The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the criminal law of the student (Nada Jawad Kata), entitled with (criminal protection of the informant for corruption crimes – an analytical study), on Sunday, corresponding to 10/3/2024 on the model courtroom at the college.
_ The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the public law of the student (Zahra Fadel Qasim), tagged with(the governance of employers ‘ authorities and their impact on the balance of the relationship in accordance with the labor law no. (37) for the year 2015 _ comparative study), on Thursday, corresponding to 7/3/2024 on the model courtroom at the college.
_ The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the public law of the student (Widad Ahmed Hussein), marked with (the means of the administrative judge in the proof (cancellation case as a model)), on Tuesday, corresponding to 5/3/2024 on the conference hall at the college.

_ The private law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (The court specialized in artificial intelligence disputes), the session was chaired by the assistant dean for Scientific Affairs (Dr. Jalil Hassan al-Saadi) and the lecturer in the private law (Dr. Nisren Ghanem Hanoun), and in the presence of college lecturers, staff and students, on Monday, corresponding to 5/3/2024 to the conference hall at the college.
_ The Public Law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (constitutional regulation and law of the right to equal opportunities), delivered by a lecturer in the Public Law (Dr. Mosadek Adel), and that on Tuesday 6/3/2024 in the building of the college of law.
_ The private law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (legal problems of digital inheritance), the session was chaired by the assistant dean for Scientific Affairs (Dr. Jalil Hassan al-Saadi) and lecturer at the private law (Dr. lubna Abdul Hussein Issa), on Wednesday 6/3/2024 on the conference hall at the college.
_ The private law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (The damage caused by the promotion of extremist ideas and compensation for it through guarantee funds), delivered by a lecturer in the private law (Dr. Haider Falih Hassan), and in the presence of post- graduate students, on Thursday 7/3/2024 in the building of the college of law.

_ The Criminal Law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (Digital drugs between legalization and criminalization) delivered by a lecturer in the Criminal Law (asst.lect. Duraid Walid Nazzal), and in the presence of a large number of primary studies students, on Thursday 7/3/2024 in the building of the college of law.
_ The Criminal Law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar on a published scientific research entitled (criminal mediation as an alternative to criminal prosecution-a comparative study), in which the lecturer in the Criminal Law (asst.lect.Duraid Walid Nazzal) in the presence of a number of college professors and graduate students, on Thursday, 7/3/2024 in the building of the college of law.
The psychological counseling and educational guidance unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a seminar entitled (electronic extortion) delivered by the lecturer in the Public Law (asst.lect. Huda Faiq Abdul Rahman), on Sundayin the building of the Faculty 10/3/2024 of law .
_ The rehabilitation and employment unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (Time Management and outstanding performance), delivered by the lecturer in the Public Law (Dr. Saba Noman Rashid), on Tuesday, 12/3/2024 on the conference hall at the college.
_ The international law, in cooperation with the engineering and agricultural unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a seminar entitled (trees are the lung of the Earth), delivered by the lecturer at the international law Dr. Mustafa Salem and that on Tuesday, 12/3/2024 on the conference hall at the college.
_ The Public Law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (The competent authorities to impose fees), chaired the session by (Dr. sura Harith Abdulkarim) presented by the lecturer in the Public Law (Dr. Ban Salah Abdelkader), on Tuesday, 12/3/2024 on the conference hall at the college.
_ The private law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a seminar entitled( implied error in the scope of medical liability), delivered by the lecturer at the private law (Dr. Mona Naim), on Thursday 14/3/2024 in the building of the college of law.
