The psychological counseling and educational guidance unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a seminar entitled (Suicide), presented by the lecturer in the Criminal Law (Asst. lect. Jalila ghazban) on Tuesday, 2024/3/26 at the model courtroom at the college.
The seminar aims to support individuals suffering from suicidal tendencies or severe life experiences that may lead them to commit suicide to overcome these crises by opening new horizons through dialogue and reaching lasting solutions through civil society institutions and social solidarity.
The seminar included several topics, including the definition of suicide, its causes and how to prevent it .
The seminar came up with several recommendations, the most important of which are; addressing the phenomenon of suicide by eliminating social and psychological problems and reducing them by finding appropriate solutions to them by all available means and holding awareness seminars for young people to reduce this phenomenon.
