The Public Law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (The competent authorities to impose fees), the session chaired by the lecturer (Dr. Surra Harith Abdulkarim) presented by the lecturer at the Public Law (Dr. Ban Salah Abdel kader), on Tuesday, 2024/03/12 at the conference hall at the college.
The seminar aims to raise some topics related to the purpose of the fee and distinguish it from the tax by assigning a monetary amount that those who wish to serve are obliged to provide to the state or one of its public institutions and determine the competent authority to impose various fees.
The seminar came up with several recommendations, the most important of which is to adhere to the project of imposing and collecting fees and adhering to what is determined by the laws and not relying on the general budget laws because they are temporary.
