The international law, in cooperation with the engineering and agricultural unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a seminar entitled (trees are the lungs of the Earth), delivered by the lecturer in the international law (Dr. Mustafa Salem) on Tuesday, 2024/03/12 at the conference hall at the college.
The seminar aims to criminalize the bulldozing of agricultural lands, promote and support the Green Belt project and adopt short-and medium-term action programs to achieve zero neutrality.
The seminar included several topics, including recalling the phenomenon, international treatments, and internal treatments.
The symposium reached several recommendations, the most important of which are reporting on emissions in the internal framework of countries, national programs to control greenhouse gas emissions and adaptation to climate change.
