The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the public law of the student (Zahra Fadel Qasim), entitled with (the Governance of Employers ‘ Authorities and its Impact on the Balance of the Relationship in Accordance with the Labor Law No. (37) for the year 2015_ comparative study), on Thursday, 2024/03/07 on the model courtroom at the college.
The thesis aims to show the extent of the impact of the principles of governance in making the work environment a healthy environment that protects and respects labour rights and at the same time protects the interests of employers and to indicate the role of governance in attracting investments that will improve the country’s economic reality and provide decent job opportunities and thus reduce unemployment in society.
The thesis included three chapters, the first of which dealt with the nature of governance as a system for the balance of manpower, the second chapter dealt with the legal basis of the employer’s administrative authority, and the third chapter dealt with the mechanisms of governing the powers of employers.
The thesis reached several recommendations, the most important of which is the recommendation of the Iraqi legislator to include legislation in the labour law to ensure that workers with special needs have the right to work in projects and be a percentage of 2% of all workers, and the recommendation of the Iraqi legislator to include in the labour law legal articles that oblige the employer to respect the private life of the worker.
