The team of the college of law at the University of Baghdad won the first place in the tenth Arab Moot Court Competition, held in the state of Kuwait in the period (March 4-6 -2024); after pleading before the International Court of justice in a virtual international case simulating the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The college of law team had played two matches in the preliminary stage, one before the International Court of Justice competing with the team of Jordan’s Yarmouk University, and the other before the International Criminal Court competing with Birzeit University from the state of Palestine, and then advanced to the quarterfinals of the competition.
In the quarter-final round, the college of law at the University of Baghdad played a match before the International Court of Justice competing with the University of Bahrain team, and qualified for the semi-final stage, in which they played another match before the International Court of justice against the team of the Palestinian Birzeit University, which qualified them to the final round, in which they faced the team of Birzeit University from the state of Palestine for the third time, and scored first place deservedly.
