The private law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar on a published research entitled (The principle of legal concentration in the scope of nuclear liability – a comparative study), presented by the lecturer in the private law (Dr. Nesrin Ghanem Hanoun), and in the presence of postgraduate students, on Tuesday, 2023/11/28 at the college of Law Building.
The seminar aims to demonstrate the actions of the general rules of civil liability in connection with the nuclear accident may lead to the possibility of multiple persons being responsible for this accident, but this responsibility is better to be concentrated in the person of the nuclear exploiter, and this is the principle of concentration, which means that the nuclear exploiter is a unit without others.
The recommendations that came out of the seminar when discussing nuclear civil liability should take into account the principle of legal focus by concentrating responsibility in the person of the nuclear exploiter, relying on the principle of legal focus without financial or economic focus .
