The legal clinic unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, held the first training workshop for the legal clinics competition team organized by the Francophone University Agency. It was delivered by Professor Mohammed Shukr Shaker, an expert trainer in disability and special needs affairs, under the supervision of Dr. Nada Abdul Kazem Hussein, the team supervisor and director of the legal clinic and restorative justice unit. This was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in the model courtroom at the college. The workshop aims to introduce the competition team to the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs, as well as the standards, mechanisms, and guarantees of protection. It also aims to introduce relevant Iraqi legislation.
