The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law at the University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled (The Federal Supreme Court and Response Control), which was delivered by a lecturer in the private law branch (Dr.Sura Harith Abdul Karim), in the presence of a number of college professors  , on Tuesday 05/23/2023 On a typical courtroom.

The workshop aims to clarify the concept of response control, as response control is an exception to a basic principle that governs the work of the judge in all forms of ordinary, administrative and constitutional judiciary, as well as the judge’s commitment to the requests of the parties to the case to determine the scope of the case.

The workshop included several axes, including the legal basis for the concept of counter control, the position of the Federal Court on response control.

The workshop came out with several recommendations, the most important of which is for the constitutional judge to expand the scope of application of the control of the response in the constitutional case on the procedural and substantive side, whether the text that is addressed is related to the subject of the appeal or not.
