The committee consisted of Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Salem Abd, Assistant Professor Dr. Sabah Fayyad Tlass, Professor Dr. Nibras Ibrahim Muslim, and Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Khalil Jaafar, on Thursday, corresponding to 05/18/2023, at the conference hall in the college.
thesis aims to organize and establish legal rules in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, and to publicize the legal foundations that harmonize the activities of states in the field of exploration and use of outer space, and to establish general principles for it.
The thesis included three chapters, the first chapter dealt with the nature of outer space and international efforts to organize it, the second chapter dealt with the principle of the common heritage of humanity, and the third chapter dealt with the international responsibility resulting from the damage caused by space objects.
The thesis came out with several recommendations, including that the international community should speed up reaching an international agreement in an attempt to find a comprehensive and approved definition of outer space, and to create an international and scientific system to protect space from pollution, as well as reviving a new organization for outer space that falls within the scope of the United Nations and is capable of limiting legal problems that international space conventions could not address.
