The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law at the University of Baghdad organized a training workshop entitled (Women’s Rights in the Framework of Sustainable Development), which was delivered by a lecturer in the Public Law Branch (Prof. Dr. Saba Numan Rashid) in the presence of a number of faculty and college employees, on Monday 2023. 4/3 On the model courtroom in the college.
The workshop included many axes, including women’s rights defenders and researchers in the field of human rights.
The aim of the workshop is to introduce women’s rights within the framework of sustainable development, to frame women’s rights in all aspects of life in Iraq, and to emphasize the role of legislative texts in assigning the role of women in society.
The workshop reached several results, including the weakness of the role of women in Arab societies, especially Iraq, and the failure to complete all texts for their effectiveness in applying the rules of sustainable development, which the United Nations has approved that they must be fully applied in the year 2030.
