The Dean of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Attiya, met with the teaching staff of the English-Language Law Program on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, to discuss preparations for the launch of the academic program for the 2026–2027 academic year.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the subjects and courses to be adopted within the program, the student admission mechanism, and the examination of applicants wishing to enroll. They also discussed mechanisms for preparing the approved courses in a manner consistent with the program’s academic objectives.

The meeting addressed the importance of cooperation with counterpart institutions and organizations in order to exchange expertise, benefit from academic experiences, and develop joint collaborative programs and activities, including competitions and events conducted in English.

The meeting emphasized the importance of motivating students and encouraging them to use English in the academic environment through the dissemination of educational awareness posters and informational materials in English among students and teaching staff. It also highlighted the importance of publishing lectures and educational materials related to the program through the College’s official websites and social media pages.

This program is part of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad’s efforts to develop legal education, enhance students’ ability to engage with legal sources and references in English, build bridges of academic cooperation with counterpart legal and academic institutions, and increase graduates’ opportunities for integration into the labor market.
