College of Law – University of Baghdad Opens a New Gateway to the World
Launch of the English-language class for studying Law in English, starting from the 2026–2027 academic year
As part of a new academic initiative reflecting the College of Law – University of Baghdad’s commitment to developing legal education and engaging with international academic experiences, the College announces the launch of an English-language class for studying Law in English, beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year, for first-year students who wish to study law in English.
This initiative represents an extension of the College’s efforts to diversify its educational pathways and engage with global legal languages. The College previously introduced a French-language class for studying Law in French, and the new English-language program constitutes a qualitative addition to this approach, responding to the requirements of the contemporary legal environment and its growing need for engagement with international legal knowledge.
The English-language class will provide students with the opportunity to study legal sciences in English from the beginning of their university education. This will contribute to enhancing their ability to understand legal terminology, work with foreign legal sources, references, and research, and keep pace with modern trends in legal thought and practice.
The initiative also aims to combine a solid legal education with specialized language skills, providing students with broader opportunities in scientific research, postgraduate studies, and academic and legal communication at the international level.
The launch of the English-language class embodies the College’s vision of continuously developing its educational environment and introducing academic pathways that respond to present-day requirements while anticipating future needs, all while preserving the authenticity and academic rigor of legal education.
The College of Law – University of Baghdad invites first-year students admitted through the Centralized Admission Channel, who wish to study Law in English, to register for the English-language class following the announcement of the centralized admission results and to take advantage of this academic opportunity, which opens broader horizons for legal knowledge and engagement with the international legal community.
